Intercession

Intercession is the power of God to change things. It is a mystery and thus spiritual. It is the ability that God gives us in order to fight against Satan. Through Intercession we partner with God for the fulfilment of his plans on earth. Therefore by Intercession we also partner with the man of God who is working for the fulfilment of a specific plan of God, the salvation of souls on earth.

Intercession is not an outward exercise but it is a work of our inner man, our hearts.

The Intercession network was established in 1986 by Pastor Kiluba, in order to sustain the public evangelical crusades.  This means that Intercession is an important wing for JTL Ministries. This also stresses the challenge of public evangelism, which is a battle against powers in high places that veil the nations of the earth.  JTL Ministries began by the intercessory prayers of Pastor Kiluba joined by a small number of people and from these prayers was born a revival or a move that has swept the earth and we can see today the establishment of JTL ministries as an international movement with many people around the world. Pastor Kiluba says:” A true ministry or church, is one that is born from prayer”

Just like the ministry of Moses began with his 40 years of prayer and the ministry of Jesus began with 40 days and nights of prayer in the desert under the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 60:1-: “Arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you: See darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples but the Lord is upon you and his glory appears over you: Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn…” (NIV)

The above is a covenant scripture for this vision, revealed to Pastor Kiluba. In this chapter we can see a depiction of the spiritual state of the earth and the calling of God for the transformation of the nations. This means that through the work of intercession hearts and souls are prepared to receive the gospel and to be saved in the name of Jesus Christ. Through Intercession there is a work of the rebirth of the nations. Therefore this great work calls for:

Perseverance and patience: If we want to see greater works manifest on earth like Abraham did, we must let the Spirit of God to plant in us these fruits. It is not by our effort but by the power of the Spirit of God as we pray.

Courage: We also need to be courageous like Joshua because we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against evil spirit in high places. We must never give up praying until we see the fulfilment of what we are praying for.

Trust in God: Intercession demands Total Trust in God. Trust will give us rest in our prayers as we wait to be comforted by the fulfilment of the promises of God.

Attachment to the Word of God: This is very important for an intercessor. We must pray by the Bible, by the understanding of the Word of God through the Holy Spirit. Because God is behind nothing else but his own Word, that is what He is working to fulfil not our own agendas.

‘Intercession’, is also one of the many teachings taught at our Bible school: Where you will find more revelation on this topic.

This intercession is made for the salvation of souls around the world in general. It is also made specifically to sustain Pastor Kiluba missions around the world: Ephesians 6:19: “Pray also for me that whenever I open mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel” (NIV).

Pastor Kiluba has also given birth to many other missionaries who are on the field of evangelism under the banner of JTL, but others are even from other ministries, churches or organizations. In South Africa the work of Intercession is called: “INTERCESSION FOR THE NATIONS”

You can also partner with JTL and with God in a committed prayer for the salvation of souls around the world, by filling in the prayer commitment form.
